A Warm Welcome to the School Year!

Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

Welcome to the 2024-25 school year at Mark Twain Elementary! I am Eric Christensen, and I am deeply honored to serve as the principal of our outstanding school community. My journey in education spans 18 years, beginning as a dedicated third-grade teacher. Over the course of my career, I served as an assistant principal for 11 years before being entrusted with leading Mark Twain Elementary in 2022.

At Mark Twain Elementary, we firmly believe that ALL students will succeed, no exceptions. Our commitment extends beyond academic excellence. We are dedicated to providing equitable access to rigorous instruction within an inclusive environment that prioritizes the social-emotional well-being of every student. Our close-knit community of educators collaborates to determine the best approach to teaching each individual child and meeting their unique needs. Through engaging and challenging learning activities, our students master standards across all content areas.

We take immense pride in our strong partnership with the local community, ensuring that students and families feel a sense of belonging and are warmly welcomed into our school. This sense of community support is invaluable in our collective mission to provide the best possible education for your child.
